“The e-commerce industry is a force that no investor can afford to ignore!”
October-November is generally that time of the year when there is a boom in the retail sector. People all over the country get their wish-lists ready. They head to the nearest shops to buy clothes, sweets, electronics and what not. However, this year, as I visited the nearest mobile phone store, I realized that it looked quite empty, compared to the yester-years.
On enquiry, the shopkeeper told me that there has been a significant reduction in the number of their customers with the advent of online shopping. He even expressed his desire to shut down the business due to the dearth of customers. At that point of time, I was happy to point out that he, too, could sell his products online. Major online retailing companies like Amazon, Flipkart, Snapdeal and eBay have their own procedures which allow the sellers to enlist their products on the website for sale.
